MB shows that we have a backlink on a page, but when I click the link, I don't see it.

There are 3 main reasons why you might not be able to see the link:

The link might not be easily visible (even hidden) on the page.
The page that you see might be different than the original page due to a redirect.
The page might be using javascript to alter the page after it loads.

The way to see if the link does exist is to use an HTML source code viewer, which will show the code as is, before any redirect or javascript loads. There are many free ones that can be easily found by searching for the term "HTML source code viewer."
