What does it mean when the indexing status of a link is gray?

In some cases, when our tool can't detect the index status, we are showing n/a (the grey G icon). That's to avoid showing a wrong status. You can quickly check the index status by clicking on that icon though. You'll be redirected to Google and see right away if the page/domain is indexed.

For the majority of the links, we can detect the G index status, but for a few of them, it's not possible.
